Rough work calls for a robust vehicle and the construction site is the ultimate playground for the new Mercedes-Benz Arocs - all it takes is one look to see where this vehicle belongs. It boasts impressive practicality within its application specific cabs and whether you need a semi-trailer vehicle, cement mixer or even a heavy duty tipper, you can rely on the Arocs for almost any construction haulage challenge. The fifth generation of the Arocs also features 7 Core innovations, including the world’s first MirrorCam and Active Brake Assist 5.
Starting at 230 mm wide, the cab variants offer excellent visibility, and 3 cockpit variants help you decide which ergonomically designed workspace is best for the end-use. A particularly robust cab shell, pivoting entry point (standard for tippers and concrete mixers), roof rail, as well as a three piece bumper with steel corners for damage protection, means this truck is precisely designed to meet the requirements of the construction site. The new Arocs also features a high level of driver comfort with a distinguished modern workplace with exemplary ergonomics such as the multifunction steering wheel and practically placed stowage spaces.
This truck has powerful, high torque, job matching Euro VI engines available in four displacement classes. Mercedes PowerShift 3 automatic gear shift offers superior dynamic response, simple handling and low fuel consumption. It applies sensitive sensor technology which provides optimal gear selection depending on driving and load circumstances. Its broad torque range (and high torque still achieved even in low revs) reduces the number of shift operations and thus saves wear and tear on the clutch and transmission. This is just one of the ways the Arocs upholds the Mercedes-Benz RoadEfficiency promise of low total costs.
The world’s very first MirrorCam offers greater visibility when manoeuvring around a busy construction site or transporting different materials from place to place. Active Brake Assist 5, the revolutionary automated brake assistance system that now has the ability to recognise pedestrians is available as standard on certain models. The optional electronic parking brake offers both greater safety and simpler handling.
For more than 45 years Mercedes-Benz have been focusing on new innovative ways to achieve greater safety on our road networks for trucks, their drivers, as well as everybody else. We are proud to offer state of the art safety technology that is far ahead of its time.
